Space X Dragon Capsule

On display at the Air Force Space and Missile History Center on the Air Force portion of Cape Canaveral, near Kennedy Space Center.  We took the opportunity to visit after STS-135 launched.

Approved Colors

We learned on a street-walking tour of local restaurants that the city has laws for preserving its appearance, keeping it in line with the Spanish colonial look that much of the city has today. Wikipedia has a good rundown of the city’s history.

The Lookout

BUY THIS PRINT! Castillo de San Cristóbal, the walls and forts that surround Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.  The rain had stopped falling a few minutes before clouds on a sunny day always make for interesting HDR photos.  This is perhaps one of my favorites of the trip.  A day or two prior I was on the jungle island of Dominica (not to be mistaken for the Dominican Republic).

Perspective

STS-135 Atlantis. The very last one! This was shot from about 7 miles out on the causeway within Kennedy Space Center with the kit lens at 200mm on my D300.
